Landy Insurance Info / 10 years with Landy.
« Last post by Sim Theory on March 14, 2019, 07:32:03 pm »
So, what to say?  I've had them for 10 years but have never once had to file a claim or seek their assistance, thankfully.

However, my yearly costs keep going up.  What gives?  I started at $619 a year and am now up to $740 on the 500k/1m plan.

Landy should really start charging premiums to appraisers whom do hybrids and use outsourced services, and I should perhaps get a discount for not doing so.  Much like a safe driving discount.

My vote is for all EO insurance companies to charge additional premiums to appraisers whom engage in hybrid appraisal services, adding some essential questions to renewal forms to keep up with the times.  Those appraisers are essentially dropping down 10x the working and liability volume for the same income that I am, and for the same insurance price.  Something has to give because that's simply not fair and appraisers whom do not engage in those higher risk practices should not just automatically cover for the other appraisers that choose to engage.

Cheers.

That's because I do not work for amc's.

Not while there are still literally hundreds and possibly thousands of direct lender and non qm leads out there for regular routine order sourcing which have nothing to do with amc's.

If you can't beat the telecom clerks and non licensed people selling amc services, quit while you're ahead and get a day job.

It's so easy to avoid amc's and I posted about that on these boards just today.

Work with them if you want to, but the writing is already on the wall, and the blogs for that matter.

Well, I already post there like daily and such...

Appraisersblogs rules the day.  They're the only public facing appraisal industry publication site which is not self promoting and does not answer to content control and sponsors requirements.

There may be others but those are the two primary ones which serve the largest population areas.
